Reforma
The online store with professional beauty productsFind out how did we develop the latest Reforma’s e-commerce on Magento 2 platform.

The issue
It is not our first cooperation with Reforma. For a few years, we have been working together, providing technical support and maintenance services for the previous e-commerce platform. It was based on Magento 1; thus, it did not fulfill the brand's expectations with the passing time. Multiple complications related to the platform updates and new functionalities introduction were the main issues the previous solution was facing. Moreover, Magento 1-based store did not enable the management of the critical elements from the admin panel. It was a giant obstacle for the website administrators and editors.
Furthermore, the official end of support for Magento 1 in June 2020 was an additional incentive for changes. In such cases, we always recommend migrating Magento as soon as it is possible.

Our solution
Reforma had a positive experience with Magento; that is why they have decided to build a new platform on this CMS (using the latest system’s version). We have conducted Magento 1 to Magento 2 migration to keep all the essential data from the previous store. The process required, e.g., new graphical layout implementation, customized modules creation, or complex data migration. Thanks to that solution, currently, Reforma has a fully functional, futureproof, and above all, secure e-commerce.
Solution in details

1. Integration with the shipment system
Baselinker is responsible for orders management and shipment in the new Reforma store. Magento downloads the packages' details from Baselinker and assigns them to the appropriate orders. As a result, the customer can see and track the shipping number. What is more, the system sends a personalized e-mail to the customer that enables package tracking.
2. Non-standard notifications
We have developed a self-made email notifications system that helps in orders' management. Since the online store operates on foreign markets, the notifications are sent to the specialists dealing with orders from a particular country. The messages contain details regarding products or customer's preferences related to the order itself, payment, or delivery methods.
3. One Step Checkout
We have implemented the one-step checkout to facilitate the purchase process for the users maximally. The idea assumes that the customer can fill in all the order details (e.g., home address, delivery method, payment method, discount code) and finalize the transaction within one page.
4. SEO
Reforma put a strain on both – users and search engines’ friendliness. Thus, we have paid a lot of attention to the Magento 1 SEO migration. It includes, e.g., making redirects, setting appropriate URLs structure, or meta tags implementation.
Realisation in numbers
We have developed 22 customized Magento modules.
