Main benefit

Automated content translation while saving time and reducing costs

Background element

Apator Group operates across multiple international markets, which requires regular content publishing in several language versions. Until now, translations had been handled by external agencies, but the process was too slow and costly, particularly during larger product updates. As a result, foreign markets received new information much too late, leading to inconsistencies in the offer presented across different countries.

The client needed a solution that would streamline content translation, so we integrated the CMS with DeepL API – a professional machine translation engine. This significantly simplified the content workflow: editors can translate content, such as a landing page or product description, automatically with just one click.

Importantly, the HTML structure and formatting are preserved, so editors only need to review the translated text and make necessary adjustments.

Our solution significantly accelerated content publication in other languages, reducing the process from several days to just a few minutes. It also limited the editors’ work to reviewing the translated texts. The translations also remain consistent in terms of technical terminology, which is particularly important in the energy sector.

Apator Group also gained the ability to respond quickly to its international business partners’ needs. We also reduced the operating costs associated with working with external translators.

Expert commentary

The biggest technical challenge was ensuring that the automatic translation did not disrupt the modular content structure. We configured the integration so that the system isolates only the text layer while leaving all technical elements, including the code, unchanged. As a result, the English or German website version is immediately ready for publication, with the same layout and functionality as the source version.
